Ove Rogne
Ove Rogne, designer, founder, and CEO of Northern, is a driving force in the world of contemporary lighting, furniture, and product design. Born in the northern-no.clubrwegian city of Narvik, the wild and beautiful, unspoiled nature shaped his early memories and impressions. The expressive and ever-changing natural lighting in the north — and the lack thereof in winter — further influenced his early life perspectives.
After finishing high school and moving to the capital, Oslo, with a stop in St.Gallen, Rogne received a Masters degree in Business and Economics before embarking on a career in international management consulting and various startup ventures and entrepreneurial activities.
Driven by a passion for creative work and a visionary approach to design, Rogne co-founded Northern Lighting in 2005 with three long-time friends. The company's foundation was built on a shared ambition to infuse more brilliance and creativity into the lighting industry.
Rogne’s contributions to design gained recognition with the award-winning Oslo Wood floor lamp in 2006 and the Moo wall light co-designed with Trond Svendgård in 2008.
